What Are 3D Dome Labels?

Regular label stickers look great. However, to take the presentation up a notch, 3D dome stickers work brilliantly. They have a 3D look and feel and are impervious to the elements such as dust, water, sunlight, etc.

This makes them a great branding option when you want to be noticed in a sea of 2D stickers.

How are 3D Dome Decals Made?

3D Dome Decals are made up of two basic components:

The Base – a highly adhesive vinyl sticker is printed out in the design of your liking. At Orchid Digitals, this is achieved using a Roland Print and Cut machine. At this stage, the stickers are two-dimensional yet vibrant and quite eye-catching.

The Dome – to add the 3D feel, polyurethane solution is poured on top of the vinyl sticker. This increases the height of the sticker by 2-3 mm. The mass of polyurethane takes a rounded/curvy shape at the edges, forming a dome*.

* Note: Dome labels cannot be created instantaneously. They need to be printed, cut, domed and dried. Ideally, a lead time of a minimum of three days is required to process your order.
